Jaguar Cars
The cars of Sir William Lyons who started in Blackpool making sidecars for motorcycles. His Swallow Sidecars business expanded into building bodies on Standards, Swifts, Austins and other makes. Then using Standard components he launched 'SS Cars', and created his 'Jaguar' in 1939 deciding to substitute the name 'Jaguar' for 'SS' in 1945
