I went to VENICE for the first time in 1998 whilst enjoying Christmas in the Italian Dolomites, and what a bracing ICY Boxing Day we had in the lovely "La serenissima".

Suitably captivated, I arranged to go again to Venice whilst on a holiday at Lake Garda in September 2000 for my second visit. 
Then, hoping to make my birthday special, I took a DAY trip to Venice from Manchester Airport on December 11th 2000.  Two visits in the same year.

My fourth visit was provided by an excursion from another holiday on Lake Garda, this time with my sister in October 2003 when we celebrated Biddi's birthday in Venice.
